Community outreach lead Julie Desrosiers packing collected items for our November food drive in support of the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, Inc.. The focus of the Merrimack Valley Food Bank is to help meet one of the most profound needs adequate nutrition and freedom from hunger. Only through cooperative efforts can society initiate change develop strategies to alleviate hunger and work toward the well-being of all people. When you coordinate a food drive at your work, school, club, or organization you are helping food bank meet increased demand for shelf stable food neighbors who are struggling to make ends meet. Many families have limited access to fresh, nutritious, and affordable food and rely on the supplemental non-perishable food they receive at their local pantry.
