Terrible Service, Avoid at All Costs

I contacted this company to address a noisy air compressor on my heat pump, and it was an absolute nightmare. I scheduled an appointment a week in advance and took time off work to be home during the two-hour window they provided. An hour into the window, they called to inform me that they had no one available to fulfill the appointment and asked to reschedule.

Despite the inconvenience, I agreed to a later two-hour window that same day, as I couldn’t take more time off work. Once again, I waited for them, only to find out that their technician canceled the second appointment without even speaking with me and gave me no other alternative.

Since then, I’ve left multiple messages attempting to reschedule, but they have completely ignored me. No returned calls, no new appointment—nothing. They wasted my time and left me with a still-broken compressor.

This company is unreliable, unprofessional, and unresponsive. If you value your time and want your problem fixed, do yourself a favor and find another service provider. I will never work with them again.

The electricians - Steve and Alden, and technical installers - Junior and Tucker, are high caliber individuals with excellent expertise in their field. Very polite and accommodative. Work was performed expeditiously and in a professional manner.

Best experience ever. Professional crew. Alex and Nate the installers were always on time and explained everything, cleaned up, labelled everything and were excellent to work with. The best part for me was the backend experience with Amanda who took care of all the rebate filings! Jeremy who does the quotes was fantastic as well and took care to explain everything. Pricing was very competitive! They won the business in our whole neighborhood. Wish every installer would learn from this company. This is what a well run small business experience should feel like.

Denommee sent a technician to assess my plumbing issue. Unfortunately the technician didn’t have the proper equipment, so another technician came later that night. The accommodation to dispatch 2 people to make sure my issue was looked at was nice. However the second technician was unable to prove any diagnosis and proceeded to incorrectly mark where my sewer line ran to the street by about 3 feet (despite me pointing out where it was). He kept reporting to his boss that he was certain it was a collapsed line to the street, but couldn’t prove it (which I understand can be difficult). It was disappointing to be charged such a high amount for no temporary fix, proven diagnosis, or even a correctly marked pipe considering the situation. My real complaint about my experience was how I never heard back from them for next steps. I had a completely blocked sewer line, the technicians came on a Thursday and I was told I’d be contacted with a quote early the following week. But no follow up happened at all, I was just left hanging with an alleged collapsed sewer line. Thankfully I trusted my gut based on observing the technicians and got the issue fixed promptly before things started to overflow and become an even bigger issue. An overall disappointing experience.

I can’t speak highly enough about the service I received. I had an emergency on a Sunday and Alex arrived within 2 hours of my first call. He was able to address the immediate situation, and the following morning I received a call that someone would be out between 8 and 10am with the parts needed for the repair. John and Mark arrived just after 8am and the job was done in about 2 hours. All three techs were professional and personable. I will definitely recommend to family and friends and they will be the first I’ll call should the need arise .

Buyer beware. Very responsive but extremely expensive. $99 dispatch fee plus $400 flat fee for a clogged toilet that took literally no more than 5 mins to unclog with an auger.

George from Denommee came out today to investigate a troublesome noise in my pipes. The noise occurred all over the house whenever a toilet flushed. He was among the most professional and courteous technicians I have ever met. He took the time to investigate every possibility of where the noise originated and then solved the issue. I would give ten stars to George and Denommee if I could. I highly recommend Denommee for any HVAC issue. Kudos to this company for having such a fantastic employee!

Spring HVAC maintenance. We are new customers and Jeo was very thorough explaining the service options as well as the issues that we need to be aware of with our system. We used Denommee a couple of years ago to replace our heating system. They did such an amazing job that naturally, when we needed our central AC replaced, we hired them again. Third time we’ve used Denommee and they are excellent. Only one out of six plumbing companies that answered the phone, only one of the others had called back at all. This time was to replace the hot water heater. They had Mike out to us the next day to look at it, and the next day after to do the work, complete with two electricians. Not many companies can accommodate that quickly for even the smallest job! The women on the phone were very nice and Mike was so nice, even when my dog jumped all over him! We will definitely use them again.

I am new to the area, I was referred to Denommee Plumbing and Heating by my next door neighbor. My gas furnace went out, no heat. They sent John O’Connor who was very thorough and did some diagnostic testing to find out that my gas valve in the furnace had failed. He replaced the gas valve and heat was back on . When they quote a price it is not an itemized price. They over charge and when questioned they would not and stated they do not give an itemized estimate. They Charged $3000.00 over the cost of a water heater. Four other plumbers in Groton Littleton and Westford were shocked at the 6900 they charged us. Do not ever use them. If I could give zero stars I would!!!

Nick and Mark did an absolutely fantastic job and were able to make the repairs without any invasive procedures. They left the area where they worked spotless and greeted everyone with professionalism and respect. They are welcome back anytime.

We've always had great success with Denommee Plumbing. Our general contractor first recommended them for our home renovation when we needed to replace/vent/update all of the plumbing in our 1930's house. As you can imagine, there were a number of tricky issues they discovered after the demo and Ricky and his team handled them with ease, quickly finding solutions and doing a great job throughout the project.

More recently, John and Aiden were able to solve an unusual issue that popped up with one of our sink drains.

We've been counting on Denommee for all things HVAC for a couple years now and they are responsive, always on time and professional with pricing that is up-front and more than fair. Each tech that has visited has been friendly and very skilled. Our York gas furnace failed recently and we didn't discover the lack of heat until morning when we immediately called Denommee. Drew was here an hour later, diagnosed the problem and had heat restored in a couple hours. However, the problem ran deeper with corroded wiring that Drew determined was one of the root causes for a gas valve failure. Long story short, his persistence to fix the problem made all the difference and the unit has been working fine since. Thanks guys!!

We talked to at least 5 different HVAC contractors before selecting Denommee for our heat pump project and we are very happy we did. Everyone we have interacted with (Amanda F, Matt M, Tyler D, and others) has been extremely patient, polite and knowledgeable. They were quick to correct any issues and answer every question we had, and even though the installation and inspection process took a bit longer than expected, our house is ultimately much more comfortable and better equipped for climate change. We are also thankful for having them help us process all the MassSave paperwork, and we received the rebate sooner than expected.

Bathroom in my house was nuts. Yellow shower with a loose rail. Yellow toilet. Yellow sink with a brown stain in it. Yellow walls. I don't know what the previous owners were thinking. But we needed to fix it, and money was tight.

I'm not a plumber, or a handyman. But Denommee worked with me. I was able to do the drywall, tiling, and painting. Denommee helped me get the plumbing done without incident.

Now it's done! Would not have gotten this done without Denommee.

I called Denommee’s in the afternoon before a holiday having no idea what was happening, and they sent someone immediately!!
The gentleman that came was very thorough and found the issue another company couldn't.

We will be using them for all future needs.

We lost our heat and after being gone for a few days, we returned home to a 53 degree house temperature. We called Denommee and they sent Tyler Jones to fix our furnace. Tyler was not knowkdkdkdkdkd

We were having an issue and called Denommee Plumbing (Milford) for the first time. Someone came out a couple days later. They charged just to get in their van and drive here, $99. Fine. But typically you don't get paid to go to work... anyways. They were coming to diagnose an issue. When the guy was here, he gave us his "best guess" and said for another $500, he could do a test to confirm. Then charged us another $230. So $329 to get a guys best guess... and another $500 to maybe confirm it. The two stars is because although they basically lectured us about plumbing costs, they did refund the $230 portion. Then, we called LUCO Plumbing & Heating (Milford). Two guys came in, figured out the problem immediately, and repaired the issue for a total of $800. They knew what they were doing, what to look for, and their pricing was so unbelievably reasonable. And, this was a month or two ago? And haven't had any issues since. So I can't speak to the quality of work by Denommee, but if you don't want to spend hundreds to maybe figure out what the issue is (nevermind what it could then cost to fix it) - I wouldn't recommend this place.

We called early Monday morning having had a pipe leak issue. Water was everywhere. Kayla made sure we were seen that day. Nick was our technician and he was terrific. This office is responsive, efficient, pleasant, and provides great work. We cannot recommend them any higher.

Just got a new a washing machine this past week from Bestbuy, it got delivered today and while the techs tried to install it they found that the valves to the water pipes the washing machine hoses connect to were corroded and fused to the shutoff valves on the hot and cold pipes. Denommee not only fit me in today at the last minute as a non-emergency call, but the service technician they sent Mike Riley was amazing! He not only got the problem solved but also installed the new washer for us and got it balanced properly and hooked up to the drain system, all of this in under an hour! We have used Denommee a lot of the last year for a new water heater install, hvac maintenance, and hvac leak detection and repair. Each service being just as good as the last! Would highly recommend them for my friends and family!

Mike Riley was my service technician from Denommee Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, Inc. My appointment time was scheduled between 10 am - 12 noon. Mike arrived exactly on time. He very quickly assessed the problem with my toilet. The total amount charged was satisfactory, fair, and more reasonable than other estimates I received from 5 different businesses. Mike is very knowledgeable about his work. He is outstanding in his professionalism, and in the way he explains both the problem and resolution. As a customer you completely understand the situation/circumstances you are dealing with. An important note: When an earlier arrival time opened I was contacted by the company to ask if I would be interested in taking it. Sadly I had to keep my original appointment, but at least they let me know the opportunity was possible.

After 10 days, I received my water heater replacement quote. The 50 gallon water heater from Lowe’s was $1499, the quote was $3858. So, $2358 to install a water heater…in a non-emergency situation, in an easily accessible basement, the same brand/size going in the same spot. UPDATE since you’re “puzzled” by my 1 star, let me clarify: 1:20pm on the 7th I got a random text asking for pictures to create the estimate. I sent them at 1:56pm. 9:29am the next day, I received a text saying “ok, we are working on your quote’ 10 days later, no quote. I texted and asked for it, was told it was sent (it wasn’t in my email though) and was promptly sent an estimate with one number on it - $3858. No itemized list, no breakdown (other than in communication) and an absolutely offensively overpriced estimate. The response here only makes me happier that I’m not using them for this job - they seem very unprofessional.

Company subcontracts for Lowe’s, got a random text asking for pictures of the water heater, sent the photos and they said they would give a quote thru text. Then stated they would need to make an appointment due to venting issues, came out on a Monday and said they would get back to me that day after they got the figures. Called on Tuesday said their iPad was having issues, called Wednesday said it was not ready yet, called Thursday more excuses. Had two other companies capable of quoting the job on the spot. Called Lowe’s stated they should have been able to do the same. After Lowes contacted them they frantically called me back, stated would get the quote to me that day. Never received it, not surprised and judging from reviews in regards to pricing, I’m glad I never received it.

I will begin by stating that between the time I put the request for service on the website, the contact call, the call for the service appointment and the arrival of the plumber it was a matter of hours. I can truly say the superb service the plumber provided was outstanding. Not only did he do everything that was needed with a complete explanation to me and my son; He was extremely kind and patient. Ten out of ten stars all around from the initial costumer service to the actual service. I will also say that in the past few days I have contacted a few other companies and they gave me the run around, had me send pictures of my system, kept me on long waits, stating they would call me back, etc. (I’m not going to be ugly and named them though…). Any who I was blessed that ‘Denommee Plumbing’ came to the rescue and I am so very grateful! Lastly, I will say I did not loose a limb (smile) very good pricing.

Needed to change out a kitchen faucet immediately. They told me where to buy the replacement and came quickly to replace it. They charged $99 (dispatch fee) to come to my house and assess the issue. Then when they got there told me $500 to replace the unit. Not knowing how long it would take and needing it replaced asap, I agreed. HOWEVER, IT TOOK exactly ONE HOUR TO REPLACE IT - AND SO $500/HOUR IS OUTRAGEOUS. The plumber was wonderful but when I called the manager, he explained they use flat fee pricing and had my job taken 2 or 3 hours, it would have been the same $500. Told him that was crazy and will never use them again. Charging $500 for one hours work is a major rip off. Will never use them again and hope others will not too. Buyer beware. The manager just kept saying flat pricing benefits customers but it sure did not benefit me.

Plumber showed up for the appointment on time and completed the work as requested to clean my hot water heater, but I noticed afterward that the heater was leaking. Swapping out the flapper on my 2 toilets also didn't do anything to fix the reported problem - the toilets still run without stopping unless someone intervenes, opening up the tank and pushing the flapper down manually. I messaged through their website as suggested in the follow up communication and nobody ever responded after 2 weeks.

David and Mike were terrific. Explained everything to me. Did a super job!

Twice now I've contacted Denommee in a panic and they've come on short notice. They have been nothing short of fantastic each time! The techs are very knowledgeable and courteous and explain everything before they start. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing plumbing services.

Our water heater failed during last winter. We have decided to install heat pump water heater (AO Smith) through Lowe's installation program. The team did a great job on installation.

Denommee has been servicing my Mitsubishi mini split system for a couple of years now, ever since the original installer went out of business. The technicians are well trained and have been with Denommee for years which is always a good sign. A company that treats their employees well, will treat their customers well. Denommee stands by their work. My system developed a leak late last year and they repaired it. Six months later the system was out of Freon again. A small part that Denommee had replaced, failed through no fault of Denommee's. Denommee has a one year warranty on repairs and Denommee performed the repair at no charge and it wasn't cheap, Freon is expensive. I also use Denommee to service my high efficiency boiler. The prior owners of my house had installed a high efficiency boiler and the original install was a mess, constant issues. Denommee redid the install correctly and the boiler has been trouble free since. Denommee's office staff are great, they are friendly and courteous when you call and they will call you back when they say they will.

Had my water heater changed from a tank to tankless, the two plumber's were here early removed the old tank, built a small wall and completely installed the new one in a day. They worked extremely hard to ensure they finished and got us back up and running. Great job

Replaced our broken water heater under warranty (after initially telling us it would not be covered); they quoted us a flat price for a new water heater, which we agreed to being without any hot water. During the install, I did some research and learned that the unit was indeed covered and pointed this out to the installer, He contacted their distributor, who confirmed this.

They informed me that I would be reimbursed the cost of the water heater, but would be responsible for labor. Manufacturer told us the same. No problem. We were ultimately reimbursed for the wholesale cost of the unit, but were charged full retail. They indicated that we had agreed to the fixed price and basically “tough.” They further (twice) refused to provide an itemized breakdown of parts/labor. I recently had a new like water heater installed at another property we own, and the cost was only $50 more than my warranty repair from Denommee.

Their work is fine, I have no problems with it. I find their practices and explanations to be at the very least deceptive.

Nick came out and was on time and very professional. Got our shower working again. Thank you for coming out so quickly the week of a holiday and during Covid as well. Highly recommend this company.

I had Craig come over to our property to repair our heating boiler. They showed on time cleaned and professional. Got the job done the same day and clean up after themselves. I appreciate the fact that they explain how the heating system works and what they recommend me doing with out the pushy sales talk. Thank You Guys!

The technician (George) and his team came to install a faucet and also helped fix a faulty RO faucet as well. They had the equipment on hand and were happy to help out. They were very professional and courteous. They respected our time and acknowledged that my wife and I were both working at home while he was at the house.

We've had low hot water pressure in master bath shower for about 8 years. Never a problem before. Evaluated by well company, gas company, and three plumbing firms. Everybody either blamed water heater or said live with it. George C from Denommee said he thought it was shower valve and told us how to confirm when the issue recurred. He was right! He replaced the valve and it's like having a new shower. This has been a nagging years-long problem no one else could figure out. George diagnosed and fixed it without issue. Very satisfied!

Denommee replaced our gas furnace and central AC with an air source heat pump and backup gas furnace. They also installed a tankless water heater. The work is neat as a pin, and so far is working great. Good customer service as well.

What amazing service!! I was going through the list of AC repair companies today to try and find someone to come fix mine. Everybody I had called couldn't get me in until 2 weeks from now - but not these guys! The technician was here and fixed the problem within a couple hours. Super fast, friendly, efficient and honest. I have found my new "go-to" for plumbing HV/AC needs.

When I needed to replace my A/C and Heat Pump this year, I met with several companies to review bids. Denommee was better in almost every category, and their price was by far the best! Of course, price is not everything, and I will say the installation team was excellent! They worked at my home for four days and they guys couldn’t have been nicer. Finally, Tammy and Diane in the office helped me navigate and get approved for the MassSave Heat Loan and obtain my rebate! No other company even offered to help with that process. Outstanding service all around. Over the course of the week the install team was at my home, I asked two of the guys what it was like to work for Denommee. Both said, without hesitation, that they had worked other places, but Guy and Carin, “treated them like family”. By the end of the week, I felt like I was part of the family too! Go Denommee!

Our water heater bit the dust so we called Denommee Plumbing. We wanted to go tankless so they gave us options. The staff, technicians and service is amazing. Very professional and an amazing job.
